John is originally from Brooklyn, NY but spent most of his childhood growing up on the Jersey Shore, which causes most people to smile at his accent. John and his wife Lisa were married in 1997 and have two adult children. The family of four have made Ohio their home for the past 20 years. John graduated from Elon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He then went on to earn an MA in Christian Ministry and Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University. John has served in different capacities throughout his time at Velocity, including many years as a SMASH leader. With a strong passion for helping people learn to read and understand the Bible, he leads numerous virtual Bible 101 courses across the country.  When not leading a Bible study, John enjoys doing home improvement projects, going to the movies and travelling with his wife.
