Scott has been married for 16 years to his wife Vanessa and they have two amazing kids. They love spending time playing kickball with all the neighborhood kids and watching movies. In his free time, Scott enjoys training for triathlons, riding mountain bikes, and spending time with Vanessa.
Shawn was born at a very young age. He and his wife Angela grew up in the Cleveland area. They married, and moved to central Illinois where Shawn earned a B.A. in Student Ministry & Preaching from Lincoln Christian University. Shawn believes ministry is the opportunity to join Jesus where He’s already at work in the lives of all people.
Shawn & Angela are blessed to have four children. He loves ‘doing life’ with his family and others while sharing about the redeeming love of Jesus. Shawn is uber passionate about Cleveland sports and ‘The’ Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoys kid-wrangling, reading, playing lawn darts, shoe-shining, and firmly believes that pudding tastes better with a plastic spoon.

Karl was born and raised in Lake County Ohio. He’s happy to still call it home to him and his wife Kristina.
Prior to joining the Velocity staff, Karl served as a Worship Director in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. His background in music started with a drum kit sometime in 2004. Since then, he’s had a steady thirst to educate and progress with music and ministry. He’s done so by serving as a part of a worship team for 8 years, drummer with the touring christian band Shine Bright Baby for several years, drum instructor, self taught guitar player, consistent vocal training, along with studying worship ministry through online courses and daily studying the word of God and spending time in His Presence.
He is passionate about leading his team and church family into an authentic Holy Spirit filled worship atmosphere that extends beyond Sunday mornings. Karl believes that the gifts God gives us are to be stewarded with the utmost of excellence and should be used to bring God glory. It’s with that mindset that he leads his team to not only continually deepen their relationships with Christ, but to also continually hone their musical talents so that together, they bring God glory and give Him all the praise.
He and Kristina enjoy dating each other, creating music and songwriting together, spending time with their families and friends, meeting new people, traveling, and living out the big dreams God has planted inside them.
