Sharon is a born and raised Clevelander who has a passion for teaching. She attended Bowling Green State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and her Master of Education in Special Education. She has been involved in teaching students for nearly 20 years!
Sharon is passionate about working with children and helping them reach their maximum potential. She wants to see children believe in themselves, know they are loved, and know that God is always there for them. She strives to accomplish this by treating each child as an individual worthy of respect, listening to each child share about their life, and encouraging each child to step out in faith and try new things.
Sharon believes when it comes to children “it takes a village.” She is passionate about partnering with families for the benefit of children. She wants to see each child have a support system that allows them to feel safe, loved, and encouraged. She strives to accomplish this by involving families in the education of children, surrounding children with positive role models within the church, and creating environments that are fun and engaging. She encourages children to follow God’s calling on their lives and reach for things they never imagined possible!
Sharon is married. She and her husband Jonathan enjoy good food, going to the theatre and being outdoors with their two awesome children and their dog. When she is not hanging out with family, she is likely found in the gym coaching gymnastics, playing around with photography or doing some sort of crafty project around the house. She is super excited to be a part of Velocity staff and loves the “me too” culture at Velocity.
